Hello again world
Welcome to the new website for the Founders Dojo. The last year was intense and an update is long overdue. The community stretches far and wide and I receive messages from Dojo alumni (Dojoans) who meet up and run projects together all over the world. It is my great honor to get to participate in this unique and amazing community.
Congrats to Sam Parr who recently sold The Hustle to Hubspot. The Hustle’s article & video starring us is still the most viewed vid on their channel. Also congrats to Greg Osuri and Boz Menzalji of Akash Network which recently passed $2B in valuation.
About a year ago we expanded into Nevada landing in Carson City. The Tahoe Dojo is modeled after a casino. The space has an authentic casino furniture and tables as well as slot and video poker machines. I learned alot about deal making from casino gaming in my time in Nevada and I use the space to practice and mentor these lessons.
Founders Dojo, Lake Tahoe in located in downtown Carson City, NV only a couple of miles away from the Comstock Lode, the mine that is credited with building the West. We are proud to continue that tradition by launching a global cryptocurrency mining, validating and governance infrastructure out of Carson City. It’s still mining just for compute instead of ore. One of our biggest partnerships is with Dfinity, the Internet Super Computer which had an enormous launch soaring past $200B valuation before settling around $50B. Congrats to all the Dojoans who worked on this project.
As the Bay Area reopened we doubled down on our space in San Francisco partnering with Archimedes Banya, a world renowned European sauna experience. This unique space includes a Dojo executive and event suite. It features over 10,000 square feet of work space both inside and on two decks with amazing views of San Francisco and the East Bay. The building also has a restaurant and a full service banya and health resort features saunas, steam rooms, pools, massages and more. We are going to have some great events.
As many of you are aware blockchain started taking off again especially around decentralized finance and decentralized cloud computing. We made big bets on both. As these categories continue to grow so does our involvement. Please stay tuned and if you are available for projects please let us know because we need talent.
